Weather Radio Tips

Weather radios are here to keep us safe. Here’s what you need to know:

• Make sure your radio is plugged in and turned on at all times. If you unplug it, the backup batteries will die.
• Your batteries need a strong charge in case the power goes out. If they are dead, replace them.
• In the event of a weather emergency, once the alert sounds you have 13 minutes to find safety.
